Kitchen-Sink Biscuit

People who like real biscuits probably consider this a crime against nature, but it's healthy and has something of a biscuit-like mouthfeel. My primary insisted that I post it. ;-)

For two people:

Preheat oven to 425F. Grease cast-iron skillet (I use Crisco).

Mix together dry ingredients (everything except milk/cheeese). Can substitute other herbs/spices (e.g. rosemary). Mix in milk and cheddar, should be pretty stiff. Can substitute another cheeese, but nothing dryer than cheddar (it's part of the "liquid"). If the batter is too stiff to mix, add more milk or water.

Bake on middle rack for 15-25 minutes, depending on preferred doneness, takes longer if too much liquid. Serve immediately.
