Too dealt the cards to 3 players. Before I had a chance to look at my hand a player knocked. When I picked up my hand I had 31 does the knocker pay double?

The knocker loses two coins. If you knock and are beat you lose two no matter the hand.

If the knocker ties with someone for the lowest cards the knocker loses because he did not BEAT at least one player. His cards have to be higher than at least one player.
